Meet the Artist/Designer

Meet the Artist....

Hi ... I’m Brenda Wolfe....Bdub is my nickname. I'm native to New Orleans and have lived in Ponchatoula, Louisiana most of my life.

I paint in oils, water color, and acrylics primarily. My favorite medium is ALL of them.

My techniques include realism, impressionism and abstract forms of art. I accept commissioned work with a focus on Animal Portraits.

Still in my teens, I began painting in 1969. For many years thereafter painting was a hobby, and creative outlet and refuge for my busy life as a wife, mother of three children and business owner.

I studied under a 2 fine art instructors for a few years and learned about painting in fine art techniques.

Then as life happened, I put it all aside. My husband of 33 years passed away in 2002.

After a serious eye disease threatened to leave me blind, the hands of a skilled surgeon saved my sight, leaving with me an insatiable desire to return to my painting creating what I know and what I see. My passion for art and making jewelry led me into a new art form...”Wearable Art”.

Most of my jewelry is created from my artwork.

My designs are printed on archival paper and embedded in resin.

I continue to expand into other products from my art as well….always creating and learning new ways of art expression.

I hope you’ve enjoyed visiting a portion of my artwork. Additionally I want to thank you for supporting Louisiana artisans with your purchases.
